Becoming the Me I Want to Be: Day 12

Day 12
todays challenge:
We all make mistakes.
We all need another chance.
Today you get that opportunity in regards to these challenges.
It's Do Over Day.
Pick one of the previous challenges that maybe you weren't ever so successful at....
And try for it again.
Practice makes perfect.

I think that instead of Do Over Day, I'm going to dub today "Wrap Up Day" and I am going to do a few little things to wrap up the previous challenges that are still lingering out there unfinished or not yet updated on my blog. I must admit that my blog feels extremely neglected lately! So, I am going to spend a little bit of time today showing it some TLC.

Wednesday Weigh-In #4

Starting weight: 150
Current weight: 145
Goal weight: 125 - 130, I haven't exactly decided

I'm back up a lb from last week. Boo! The second I hit 144 lbs, I bounce back up again. This is the second time that I have done that. I know it is because I get confident and start eating too much again. I see that I've lost 6 lbs and start thinking I can cheat a little here and a little there and then the scales go back up. OK. OK. I get it. Lesson learned. No more over-confidence!!

Becoming the Me I Want to Be: Day 11

Day 11:
todays challenge:
Are you ready for this?
NO COMPUTER IN THE MORNING HOURS!
I know, I know.
{unless of course you are at work...}
But only for work purposes.
Get off the dang computer and DO SOMETHING.
Hey, it could be worse.
It could be 21 days!

I'd say that Summer was out to kill me with this whole staying off the comuter thing, but luckily for me Wednesday is a work day and I don't have a job where I sit at a computer. So, I'm dubbing "morning hours" as from the time I wake up, until noon, which seems totally doable. So, I'll be back this afternon to check in on all my favorite bloggy peeps.

Completed Challenge Update:

I wasn't 100% successful with this challenge. I managed to stay off of the computer entirely, and I managed to stay off of blogs and social media websites. However, I did check my e-mail from my phone. Oops. Oh well. It's good enough for me.

Hump Day Humor ~ {3/10/10}

*Today's Hump Day Humor brought to you courtesy of My Life In Purple, who was kind enough to email this to me.*

~ Author Unknown

An old man and woman were married for many years, even though they hated each other. When they had a confrontation, screaming and yelling could be heard deep into the night.

The old man would shout, "When I die, I will dig my way up and out of the grave, and come back and haunt you for the rest of your life!"

Neighbors feared him. They believed he practiced black magic, because of the many strange occurrences that took place in their neighborhood.

The old man liked the fact that he was feared.

To every one's relief, he died of a heart attack when he was 98.

His wife had a closed casket at the wake.

After the burial, she went straight to the local bar and began to party, as if there was no tomorrow.

Her neighbors, concerned for her safety, asked, "Aren't you afraid that he may indeed be able to dig his way up and out of the grave, and come back to haunt you for the rest of your life?"

The wife put down her drink and said, "Let him dig. I had him buried upside down."

Becoming the Me I Want to Be: Day 10

Day 10:
todays challenge:
We're almost half way there!!!
And with 11 more days to go, we definitely need to be working on patience.
Let today's focus be on just that.
Lots of deep breaths.
Breathe.
Patience.

This challenge is definitely for me. I have absolutely no patience, but I'm going to do my best to try to find some today! Wish me luck.

Completed Challenge Update:

It's only 2:00 PM, and the day is far from over, but I'm just going to toss in the towel and call today's challenge a lost cause. I have no patience and I have no tolerance for incompetency, rudeness, etc, and I highly doubt I ever will. No use torturing myself.

So far today, I have wanted to strangle:

~ The woman at the Red Cross who hung up on me (even though I am assuming it was an accident) after I FINALLY got through after trying for three days. Bitch.

~ The elderly patient that refused to listen to a word I was saying and actually give me the information I was requesting from her, and instead was rambling on and repeating herself every two minutes.

~ The male driver who I let out in front of me today, who then didn't acknowledge my kind action. Bastard.

~ Zoe & Lexi who have been barking at something outside every 30 seconds for the hour that I have been home.

Yeah. Patience isn't exactly my strong suit is it?
